Deep Rest Through Sound Therapy in Singapore

A dedicated space for restorative soundbath sessions. Using Himalayan Singing Bowls and Gongs to help settle the mind, heart and physical nervous system.

The Relationship Between Sound and Wellbeing

Our bodies are not static — they're constantly responding to the environment around us. In a city like Singapore, our nervous systems often remain in a state of "high alert."

Sound therapy acts as a bridge to balance. When we introduce the harmonic frequencies of handcrafted Himalayan singing bowls, your body naturally begins to mirror these slower, steadier rhythms — a process of nervous system regulation, shifting from stress into alignment and recovery.

Through intentional space holding and qualified, dedicated support, sound becomes a powerful modality to:

  • Regulate the Nervous System — moving the body out of "fight or flight" and into a state of restorative rest.

  • Release Physical Bracing — helping the body let go of stored tension and mental "noise." This is when you find yourself expressing release in the form of sighing, as an example.

  • Support Deep Sleep — calming the mind to allow for natural, uninterrupted sleep cycles.

Research Insight: Studies have shown that the overtones produced by Himalayan singing bowls can significantly reduce anxiety and improve sleep quality. And is regarded as a ‘feasible low-cost low technology intervention for reducing feelings of tension, anxiety, and depression, and increasing spiritual well-being’. View the study →

Guests’ Reviews

I had a deeply calming and grounding experience at Carrie’s sound bath session. Her home studio is beautiful, peaceful, and tranquil, creating a sense of safety the moment you step in.

During the sound bath, I drifted into a deep slumber. What felt like just minutes later, I woke up feeling noticeably lighter, almost as if I were floating. Interestingly, a dull ache I had been experiencing in my thigh felt significantly reduced afterwards.

Whether it was a shift in perception or deep relaxation, it was a welcome relief. It was a nurturing, well-held experience, and I left feeling calm, lighter, and deeply cared for.

It was exactly what we needed! Thank you for such a memorable experience!

My first experience with a personalized Birthday Sound Therapy was amazing as compared to other group sessions I have been to.

Thank you, Carrie, for the meticulously prepared healing session. Not only was it incredibly relaxing for both body and mind, but the interactive birthday celebration with friends made me cherish friendship and priceless happiness even more.

Highly recommended. The tranquil environment allowed for complete immersion. The professional Himalayan sound bowls and other healing equipment were exceptional.

Hello you:)

Gentle Habit Space was created as a quiet inner space to cultivate easy gentle habits that we can lean on, to breathe into, when life seems a tab too busy, too hurried, too overwhelming.

I’m Carrie Choong, a sound healing practitioner and yoga instructor offering calming sound journeys designed to support deep relaxation and nervous system restoration.

I hold a Diploma in Sound Healing from Harmonic Sounds, accredited by The International Association of Sound Therapy.

My sessions are intentionally gentle and unhurried, using soothing tonal qualities, instruments like himalayan singing bowls, paiste gong, ocean drums and other therapeutic instruments, to create a safe and welcoming experience — especially for those who may be new to sound therapy.

Many people come simply feeling mentally tired or overwhelmed, and leave feeling lighter, calmer, and more rested.
