The Power of Sound
For centuries, cultures around the world have used sound and vibration as a form of healing. The harmonious tones of Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, and chimes don’t just create music; they interact with your body on a cellular level, helping to:
Reduce stress and tension
Soothe the nervous system
Encourage deep rest and better sleep
Restore emotional and energetic balance
There’s no need to “do” anything—simply come as you are, lay down on the yoga mat and allow yourself to experience whatever that takes place. Let the vibrations guide you into a state of relaxation. Some people enjoy focusing on their breath, setting an intention, or visualizing peaceful scenes, Simply tune into the sound, and allow your body and mind to take in the frequencies and vibrations.
How Sound Therapy Can Help
Sound Healing is an effective practice that uses sound and vibrations to reduce stress and promote relaxation. Sound has the power to engage both sides of the brain, boosting creativity and inspiration while also activating the hippocampus, a key region for memory. On a physical level, it promotes deep relaxation, with sound waves easily traveling through the body, which, being largely made up of water, naturally conducts sound efficiently.
Incorporating Sound Healing in your routine can:
Reduce Stress and Anxiety: Studies have shown that sound healing can significantly lower stress levels. And stress is one of the leading causes of burnt-out, which can increase absenteeism, anxiety, and decreased job satisfaction. Find out more from psychologytoday.com
Improve Mental Clarity: Participants often report enhanced focus and mental clarity after sessions improving cognitive ability
Stress Reduction: Calms the mind and helps regulate stress responses
Emotional Balance: Soothes anxiety, improves mood, and fosters resilience
Improved Sleep: Encourages better rest, reducing burnout risk
Team Bonding: Creates shared experiences of mindfulness and calm

Carrie Choong
Carrie was first introduced to Sound Therapy more than 10 years ago as a recipient, and the experience left a lasting impression on her. The profound sense of deep relaxation, mental clarity, and emotional balance she felt inspired her to pursue formal training, learning to work with a variety of instruments in a holistic way to create safe, restorative spaces for others.
Carrie’s sessions, in forms of private 1-to-1, or group, are designed to guide others back to their inner space — where gentleness, balance, and ease come naturally. Each session is an invitation to reconnect with oneself, release what no longer serves, and rediscover the peace and beauty already within.
Sound therapy feels like a natural extension of her years of meditation practice and her training in Foundational Cognitively-Based Compassion Training from Emory University.
Carrie holds certifications from Vikasa Yoga and Shantika Sound Sanctuary, accredited by the Golden Temple Tibetan Centre of Sound Therapy and the International Sound Therapy Association. She is also a certified Reiki Level 2 practitioner. And is currently taking Yoga Teacher Training Certification.

Tracey Steele
Tracey’s journey with sound healing began as a participant, attending sessions for five years before stepping into facilitation herself. She fell in love with the instruments and the profound, transformative healing they offer.
With a background in energy healing and personal experiences of childhood trauma, Tracey witnessed firsthand the power of vibrational medicine. By blending energy healing with sound, her sessions became even more restorative and impactful.
Her first connection was with the shamanic drum, whose ancient wisdom guided her and her clients alike. As her passion grew, she expanded her instrument collection, completed her training, and embraced her calling fully.
Today, Tracey joyfully designs and facilitates sound sessions, witnessing the remarkable power of sound to heal, transform, and support the soul.

She holds space with compassion, meeting each person where they are and offering practices that are accessible, restorative, and nourishing.
